The tuition rate and fees are subject to change without notice. Cost of books is not included in tuition. Program costs are calculated by credit hour and may vary from student to student. Admission Requirements and Application Process
The George Washington University seeks candidates who have demonstrated potential for management and leadership and who have the intellectual ability, maturity, initiative, and creativity to participate in this challenging environment. Applicants to the Master’s in Political Management Program must have a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution of higher learning with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or an equivalent academic credential from a recognized international university. Applicants who have an undergraduate or graduate GPA below 3.0 may submit a professional work sample or take the GRE to be considered for admission to the program.

Your Advisor will assess your educational and professional background to determine whether you meet the minimum program requirements and walk you through the formal application process.

Application Materials:
•Completed online application form for the Political Management program, including the non-refundable application fee
•Statement of Purpose: a 250- to 500-word essay describing your academic and professional goals
•A current resume with education and work history
•Three letters of recommendation (at least one professional and one academic)
•Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended, including records of previous graduate-level coursework (when applicable)*

*Applicants who possess an undergraduate or master’s degree GPA of 3.0 or higher will not be required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) as a component of their CPS application. Applicants with an undergraduate or master’s degree GPA below 3.0 may submit a professional work sample or take take the GRE to be considered for admission. Note for International Applicants: Official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are required for students who are from countries where English is not an official language and for those who do not hold a degree from an accredited American institution of higher learning. The Test of Written English (TWE) is also recommended.
